Help support the Kennedy Family

My name is Alannah, I am raising funds for my parents, Ian and Diana Kennedy as they grieve the loss of their beloved daughter Sophia.

They are a single income family and Ian has taken a significant amount of time off work for what started as a medical emergency and quickly became a tragic loss and grieving period - Sophia was taken to the Kamloops Hospital on April 9th and diagnosed with bi lateral pneumonia. She was then flown to Children’s in Vancouver where they discovered sepsis. Her heart began to fail and she was put on life support. Sophia passed into heaven on April 14th in the presence of her loved ones. She will be dearly missed.

Sophia was a happy 13 year old. She was born with a condition known as KMT2C, but her life itself was a miracle as she defied so many odds. She loved to play with her puppy, bake, and watch slime videos. She was full of spunk and loved to be with her family.

These funds will help to cover some monthly costs. Ian and Diana still have two sons at home as well as providing care for Diana’s mother. Our hope is to lighten their burden in a practical way.
