On October 18th, I brought my son Mason to Valley Children’s Hospital due to severe testicular pain and swelling. After conducting tests and scans, it was determined that he had left testicular torsion, a condition where the testicle is twisted. Emergency surgery was required, and unfortunately, the left testicle had to be removed as it was no longer viable. During the surgery, it was discovered that there was a tumor in the left testicle that was not detected in the scans. The tumor was found to be cancerous, specifically stage 3 Testicle germ cell cancer. It has been a devastating and challenging experience for our family, but we are fighters, and I believe Mason will overcome this nightmare soon. Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated.
