Help My Mom Rebuild After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
Thank you to anybody who takes the time to read this. My mom needs help. She would NEVER ask for it, so I'm asking for her.
On March 27, her house was destroyed by a fire. As I'm writing this, the source of the fire is still unknown. Unfortunately, she did not have homeowner's insurance and is left to pay the cost of repairing or tearing down the home on her own. All of her furniture and personal belongings were damaged in the fire, and she needs to replace them too. In short, she needs the help of some of the good people out there to get on her feet again.
In case you don't know her, let me tell you about her. Her name is Jewel Tanner. She's as strong a person as I know. She cares so deeply for her friends and family and would truly cripple herself to help them. She's honest to a fault and always calls it like she sees it. She's stubborn. Sometimes, she's stubborn in an "everything is going to be ok" kind of way. I'd call her an optimist, but I don't think she'd like the term. Sometimes, she's stubborn in the more traditional sense. She's always stubborn in an "I won't let the world beat me" kind of way. She's resilient, beautiful, and encouraging. She taught us to care about the world around us and modeled compassion and loyalty. She honestly might be the best person I've ever known. She is who I hope I'll be someday.
Thank you again for taking the time to read this and for any help you can give.
