Greg Brown

Hi, my name is Paula, and my husband Gregory Brown was diagnosed with colon cancer in May 2023. He had to spend over a month in the hospital due to complications during surgery. He was in ICU for over a week on a ventilator/ECMO and almost died. After leaving the hospital he had to go into a rehab facility to regain his strength to begin chemo and radiation. He still has to have two more major surgeries and another round of chemo. He does have insurance, but as many of you know with the high cost of medical bills it has not covered everything. The company he works for will no longer pay their portion of the cost for the insurance next month and we will have to go on COBRA which is very expensive. I am retired and the only income we have is my small teacher retirement check and Greg's disability. We are asking for help with medical bills and expenses to get us through the next 6 months until we are able to get Greg on permanent disability and receive Medicaid.
