The Association de Défense des Animaux et de la Nature (ADAN) is a non-profit organization in Rabat, Morocco. ADAN Association is one of only two animal shelters in the country's capital and is in desperate need of our help. The shelters are so full they cannot take in more animals and need money and resources to accommodate the animals that they are already caring for. The majority of the animals are cats and dogs, many of which are in need of medical assistance.
Habiba Tazi and her brother Ahmed, the founders of the organization, along with a team of volunteers work tirelessly to provide these animals with whatever is required to keep them from dying at the hands of the government and those with little regard for the animals' welfare or well-being.
ADAN is suffering financially and has a debt that exceeds $20,000.00. Despite all of this, they hope to expand outside the city. Due to lack of funding however, they haven't been able to do so yet. The shelter is a place that the municipality gave. This is based on the idea that it should be temporary but since there are no adoptions, the animal population keeps growing and sometimes there's simply no more space.
Your donation will help the organization decrease the amount of debt they are in presently, fund the medical expenses and adoption fees that are necessary for the survival of the shelter and help the organization realize some of their long-term goals. By contributing to the cause, you are also raising awareness about the problem of unwanted street dogs/cats as well as the cruelty they face in developing countries such as Morocco. (All donations will go directly to ADAN and its cause.)
