Loyalty Charles Scott

On December 5th we received a phone call that is going to forever change my family. We were told that Mookie (loyalty) was attacked by a dog. When we showed up to the scene, we were told that he did not make it. My wife, my brother and I had to tell my mother that her baby didn’t make it. Our family is completely turned upside down and trying to figure out how to keep going.

Loyalty touched so many hearts. He always had a smile on his face and there was no way anyone could be in a bad mood around him. He loved everyone and everything. He was so pure and unaffected by the negatives in the world. He definitely changed my outlook on life and made this world so beautiful!

My mom is the only provider in their household and won’t ask for help. She doesn’t need to stress about work or worry about bills. Times are tough for everyone and if I could take care of it all, I would.

We wanted to be transparent and share that Portland Police Department is paying for the funeral arrangements. Big thank you to them for that. I wanted to explain why we raised the goal amount. I know we don’t have to explain ourselves but we love and respect our friends, family and community members that have reached out to help us. As it was stated before, Rena is the only person that provides for these kids and these babies want for nothing. She does an amazing job taking care of them. She has to work a lot to give them the life she believes they deserve. This money that we are trying to raise up will give her the opportunity to stay home for a bit and walk through this with her family and take of the other two babies that are counting on her to show them that they are all going to be ok (eventually). For right now though, we are all just trying to make sense of things. Also with Christmas looming on the horizon, she’s also got to figure out how to make her 9 other grandkids’ Christmas as special as possible. Right now, all she can focus on is figuring out how to breathe. Thank you so much for your prayers, healing energy, strength, compassion and donations. We can’t put into words the amount of gratitude we feel……
