Hello Friends,

As most of you know my parents have been away from their home, family, friends and WORK, on Grand Manan Island, for 1 year and 6 months, while waiting for a double lung transplant for my Mom, in Toronto, Ontario.

A few days ago on August 1st, she finally got the call! They had a match.

Mom was admitted to the hospital last night at 9pm, and was taken into surgery at 6:30 this morning. (Aug 3rd 2025)

I am so happy to report that the surgery is complete as of around 5pm.

One lung sustained a small bruise on the way in, but I’m told that is no real concern, and that everything else went well.

She will be resting in a coma for a day or two, so please keep the prayers and positive vibes coming!

She has a long way to go yet; with 3-4 months of recovery time and figuring out all of her meds before they can finally leave Toronto and come home.

This whole process has been so hard on both my Mom and Dad, especially financially; and I would love to be able to help relieve a bit of that for them with this recovery fundraiser.
