Send the Elm City TC to Nationals
Donation protected
The Elm City Track Club is honored to be asking for your assistance in sending four amazing young runners to compete in the USA Track and Field Cross Country National Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico on December 12, 2015.
These four runners have earned the opportunity to run in the USATF National Championships by competing in two rounds of qualifying races. At the most recent race, all four qualified for nationals by beating out many of the best runners from the entire northeast. Now, they have the chance to take on the best in the nation!
Each runner has their own story, but will represent the Monadnock region by running as a member of the Elm City Track Club when they race in New Mexico.
Gus Smith, 8, of Westmoreland only recently discovered his talent for running. He finished in the top 10 in both of his qualifying races and truly looks like he was born to run.
Reagan Hoy, 10, of Surry just finished her first season of cross-country for the Surry Village Charter School. As a 5th grader competing against older runners, she was the team’s top performer.
Jake Velazquez, 13, of Chesterfield capped his 8th grade season running for Surry Village Charter School by becoming a state champion and winning the small school division at New Hampshire Middle School State Championship.
Nico Ramirez, 14, of Keene, is also a state champion. He won the large school race at the middle school championships as a member of the Keene Middle School cross country team.
Your support will be used to offset or reimburse the costs of airfare and lodging for the four runners. Any amount will help and is greatly appreciated.
