My Sweet Grandma Mary Ann passed away early this morning at home with her family. After being in the hospital for the past couple of months and thinking she was improving, instead of the discharge home we were expecting, she took a sudden turn for the worse on Friday. After a rapid decline, she came home on hospice Monday night where she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She passed peacefully in her sleep very early Tuesday morning. My heart is broken. She was a second mother to me, a best friend. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, second mom to so many. From babysitting to planning birthdays or baby showers to cooking or cleaning for others, she loved serving others. She loved shopping, running around with her grandkids and spending time with her family. She had been bravely fighting ovarian cancer since 2015. She was so full of life. She fought so hard because she wanted see me get married this fall and see all her grandchildren grow up. Her Family was the most important thing in the world to her. I have found comfort in knowing God has a place prepared for her and she is no longer in pain. She will be missed by so many, but I am so grateful God put such an amazing woman in my life. With that said, this comes with the cost of the funeral we were not completely prepared for. After paying on their funeral arrangements for many years, there is still a remaining balance which must be paid prior to laying her to rest.
