Life can throw unimaginable challenges our way, and the Trout family has been hit hard in a short span of time. In November 2023, Katy’s daughter Madelyn was diagnosed with Chiari 1 Malformation, a condition that brought debilitating headaches and necessitated surgery.

Just three weeks later, their beloved mom, Katy, received the devastating news of stage 3 colorectal cancer. Without a moment's delay, Katy bravely embarked on a rigorous treatment journey, enduring rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, all while trying to stay strong for her family.

March 2024 brought another round of trials for the Trout family as Madelyn underwent neurosurgery in St. Pete, adding another layer of worry and stress for the already burdened family.

As if fate had not dealt them enough, tragedy struck once more when David Trout, Alexander, Madelyn and Caroline's father, passed away March 30, 2024. His loss has left a void for the children that can never be filled, leaving them grappling with grief amidst their ongoing battles.
