As many of you know, one of my best friends (my twin!), Michelle, was recently diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. She's only 43, she's the healthiest person I know, and one of the most God-loving women I'm blessed to have in my life. She is such a bright, cheerful spirit to her husband, three babies, and her friends, and this was certainly a shock. However, she has never wavered in her faith in God and His goodness, and how He WILL work everything out for her good. But with these unexpected, scary, unsure times, she and her sweet family would be humbled by any financial help if anyone feels led to contribute.
Please take a look at her Facebook post from May 13, 2024 to learn a little more about her journey:
April 5: “I’m sorry, sweetie, but it is positive for breast cancer.”
Total shock. I’m only 43, so healthy, no family history, and a clear mammogram in the fall. But I found a lump mid March and called the doctor right away. I’m so glad I did because it’s in the early stages.
GIRLS❗️Always do a self check! Had I not and waited till my next mammogram this fall, this would have been a much different post.
My cancer is hormone positive so I start chemo on Thursday followed by surgery, radiation, and hormone therapy. It will be a whole year of work but I’m ready for itI’m so thankful there are advances in medicine to stop my type of cancer!
The past 2 months have been agonizing at times but God has answered some major prayers. My genetic testing was negative…my bone scan was negative…my CT scan was negative! Praise God
As a family we cling to the promise that God will never leave us nor forsake us. We are putting our full trust in Him as we draw nearer to Him during my cancer journey.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
