Jazz Composers' Orchestra Readings

Hey everyone! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Ben Morris, a jazz and concert music composer. I've recently been accepted into the American Composers' Orchestra Jazz Composers' Workshop at UCLA. This is a week-long intensive experience where composers of both jazz and concert music (of which I am happily one!) work on their orchestral composing chops with reading sessions, seminars with guest composers, and other collaborative opportunities. 

I have attended summer composition workshops before, and I find them to be extremely helpful for my career. In addition to building skills, they provide an opportunity to work with and befriend some of the coolest people in the field you could possibly meet. 

Due to recent difficulty, I am unable to afford the fee for the workshop, as well as lodging and travel, which are separate expenses. I would appreciate any help you could give. 

I will keep everyone updated with videos, pictures, and audio clips and compose plenty of pieces in your honor and for your listening pleasure :). An original kazoo concerto may just happen to show up in your mailbox.
