Help Lucy feel at home in her body (srs surgery)

Hi, I'm Lucy a trans woman from Glasgow who has been on hormones for coming up on 2 years, I am a writer & independent researcher of transfemme lesbian history.

Dysphoria in my day to day has been worse than ever, I have increasingly felt claustrophobic in my own body, often being hit by discomfort right as I'm waking up or trying to rest. I do not at all relate to my current anatomy and that disconnection with my own body is exhausting, upsetting & causing me to actively disassociate.

Bottom surgery will allow me to move through public space with more confidence and less of a burden of unease within myself, my clothing and the way I am perceived.

It has reached a crisis point where I cannot see my life without srs and I know I will be so much happier and contented as a baseline with this surgery, your support would truly mean the world to me, there is nothing I need more in the world right now than this form of transition.

I am also seeking laser hair removal as though it does not feel as pressing, facial hair has brought a great deal of regular dysphoria in its own right.

I have left the budget quite high as an emergency fund for being able to seek out other private healthcare appointments post surgery if their where to be any complications as well as to fund regular bloodtests, psychiatrist appointments & any blood tests I may need.

If in the chance of the goal being fully funded and their not being the need for this amount of funds in full I will donate the excess to a trans mutual aid fund. This fund is primarily for srs surgery, laser treatment as well as any additional medical costs I may need for checks ups and if any complications should arise, I also have had debt which has caused a great deal of stress over the years and prevented me from saving for surgery which a small part of the fund will go towards.

I cannot explain just how much it would mean to me to finally have this proceeder after countless years of ruminating over what feels like an impossible need.
