Unexpected Death of loved One
It is with great sadness and disbelief that we announce the sudden and very
unexpected passing of Christopher
Walter Richard of Worland, Wyoming
on November 18, 2020 at the age of 45.
My name is Kim Richard, I am Chris’s older sister. Thank you for taking the time
to read our story and open your hearts
during this difficult time for our family.
In this uneasy time in our lives with
COVID, the worst thing that can happen during this nationwide disaster is the
death of a loved one. Our family lost our
beloved Grandmother in January of
2020 at the age of 97. Shortly after, our
father , Dale Richard was hospitalized
after breaking his hip and developed
Pneumonia. Chris spent a majority of his time providing home care to our father and taking in my dad’s dog Maggie while working a full-time job and caring for his own Dog, Author in the early months of
2020. After learning my dad was
transferred to the ICU , I traveled from
California to Worland Wyoming and was denied seeing him while he was isolated
from those who loved him . Both Chris
and I said our final goodbye’s from a
hospital window while our father
passed away on July, 2020.
We were only beginning to pick up
the pieces before tragedy hits our family again with the loss of our younger
brother Chris. Sadly enough, the most
painful goodbyes are the ones that are
left unsaid and never explained. It is in
these times of loss and sadness when
people come together to help one
another make it through, to support the people we care for.
The financial burden that is associated
with such a sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one is almost unbearable.
It seems hard to mourn the loss of Chris
while facing that we are unable to cope with the financial burden this has placed on
our family. We are asking humbly and courageously for assistance with his
funeral expenses , etc.

hearts and appreciate your time in

October 16, 1975 - November 18, 2020
Chris had a passion for nature and enjoyed the outdoors. He found beauty everywhere in nature, had a connection with it, and was able to capture beautiful moments through photography. He was a talented photographer and shared the beauty of simple things. Chris loved animals and found great joy in exploring the
Wyoming plains with his black lab.
Chris had a heart of gold, was a hard
worker and known for his generosity and compassion. He will be missed dearly by many.
Chris was born on October 16, 1975, and
was a lifelong resident of Worland. Chris is survived by his sons, Harlan & Christian
Richard , sister, Kimberly Richard, his
brother, Terry Richard, Step-Dad , Gary
Gregerson: aunts anduncles Janice Richard of Worland, Nita and Curt Chapman of Worland, Ricky and Pat Richard, Wanda and Dennis Richard of Worland, Gary Garretson of Worland, and cousins Sonia Fyffe of
Wright , Laurie Richard of Worland, Justin Garretson, Tina Bahmer, Cammy Vuksanovic, Jason Richard, Steve Richard, Scott Richard , Sarah Richard, Shane Garkie, Alvin Garkie, Rebecca Garkie, Mary Richard, Dennis Richard, and numerous second cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale Richard , July 2020 and Karen Gregerson , August 2015 to Ovarian cancer.
