Hi, my name is Alanna and I’ve been friends with Donna for many years now. She is a kind hearted soul that works very hard for her family. Donna has a husband, Tuan, and a son in which her husband has been dealing with kidney disease for many years and recently had a kidney transplant. He has had to go to the hospital weekly for dialysis and blood transfusions. Due to his illness, Donna is the only one in the family that can work and therefore is the only source of income. They have very little family in Canada to support them during this time. Last week, Donna’s husband, Tuan, was on a walk in their subdivision in Bolton when he got hit by a pick up truck just 2 minutes down the street from his home. The scene is still under investigation, but her husband is currently fighting for his life in the ICU at sunny brook hospital. He has a brain bleed and a broken pelvis. Yesterday, he was battling a fever and brain swelling and is being fed with a feeding tube. He cannot speak or move, and is struggling to keep his eyes open. As a community, we are raising money for Donna and her family during this difficult time. All the help and support we can give this wonderful family is much appreciated and every little bit helps!
