Please help Health@heart Foundation give the orphans, elderly, marginalised, homeless, vulnerable and impoverished communities free healthcare services.

Health@Heart Foundation is a holistic health-promoting organisation. Established in 2021 by volunteering Health workers to give free health services to the poorest, most rural, oppressed and area lacking basic medical and education needs in communities. Our aim is to increase access to quality healthcare across Africa. We are currently working in Zimbabwe and Zambia around the rural communities.

Why We Are Needed

During the Covid-19 lockdowns, health facilities shut down & locked off their service for only Covid-19 patients. As a result, many women, children, men and the elderly in rural areas who were on hypertensive drugs and other chronic diseases were left with no option but to default medication and die in their homes.

Already most people lost their jobs due to the pandemic, and the limited health care service available comes at a very high cost. As a result, people resort to homemade, herbal medicine & unlicensed/ untested medication due to limited access and increased service costs.

Women have gone back to relying on traditional home births with no protection and medical support. As a result, it has dramatically increased the number of maternal deaths and infant mortality. The hospitals and clinics are overwhelmed with long queues, inadequate equipment and support have left staff frustrated. This has led to them migrating in large numbers to the developing countries. Leaving millions, potentially billions, without basic medical care in Africa and the world.

Sadly, This leaves us faced with many patients who are suffering in their homes with no where to turn to for help or aid. As a result, we are on the verge of losing 10 to 15 years worth of our public health gains.

Solution's

Health@heart foundation launched a rural medical outreach program called Health Experts with Abounding Love (HEAL) Medical Mission to assist these people in need for free and give them hope for a brighter day amid this Covid-19 pandemic. We are an assortment of health workers (doctors, nurses, nutritionists, health promoters, social workers, teachers and medical specialists) volunteering to give them free healthcare. In less than a year, we have helped 1 200 people in need in Zimbabwe. We have more than a dozen requests from communities in need. Our challenge has been medication to give the needy. PPE to protect us from Covid-infections and diagnostics sets.

We want to be able to build clinics for this area and to work to bring morden education to expand the knowledge of these communites.

We are appealing to individuals and organisations to help us buy medicine for these hard to reach populations and help save their lives.
