Help Support the Horton Family

Earlier this week, I lost my father to the battle of mental illness by suicide.  This disease has affected generations of my family. This tragedy occurred at the same location where my grandmothers life was taken by my grandfather when my father was very young. During my childhood I learned my dad never recovered from the mental trauma of losing his mother at such a young age. Though he had much pain, my father taught me how to love and care with passion. Over the years my father loved hard but in the end suffered harder. My parents allowed me to be a witness to a love that I’ve never seen, which they shared for over 25 years. Due to my fathers mental illness he could not live in his life or death without my mother. Before he took his own life he attempted to take my mothers life as well. Currently my mother, Stacy Rountree is in the hospital in critical condition.  My father leaves behind myself and my brother Latrell who is just 18 years old.  While mourning my fathers death, we are trying our best to keep faith that my mom will recover. Loosing one parent is life changing, but potentially loosing both is heart wrenching. My family and I need help to lay my father at rest. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
