My name is Stacey, my mother (Kathy Gregorich) and I are lifelong friends of Betty and Emery. I was very close with them growing up, and with starting my own family I unfortunately have lost touch with them a bit. Within the last 6 months (or so) I have become closer to them via Facebook social networking, as Betty is very active on FB. I have loved seeing her updates and shares. Betty and Emery graciously opened up their Kelseyville home to my mom and I and I was very lucky to be able to live with them for a year in 3rd grade (a little over 20 years ago). I attended Lakeport elementry, and called Lake County, and the Curtice Ranch, my home for a year. Just the graciousness of opening their home to us shows the wonderful people that they are.

Betty and Emery (Freckles too) just lost their home in the Valley Fire that is currently still devestating more of California. Betty and Emery have called Cobb Mountain their home for many years. They moved to Cobb Mountain from Kelseyville, and have been there ever since. Betty is currently recovering from ankle replacement surgery. They safely made it out of the fire, and are staying with friends now. They are devestated to have lost their house and everything, but very happy to be safe.

Please help however you can and donate whatever you can spare. We love Betty and Emery and just want to get them through this very tough time.

The funds raised will be spent on clothing and necessities to get them through these next few weeks. You don't realize all the little things that you use every day can cost a lot when you have to re-buy EVERYTHING. Ultimately they will need a place to live, furniture, appliances, etc. These funds will help them plan for the next few months, and hopefully re-build.
