Smart ADD Girl Goes to College

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Violet Avedissian, I'm 21 years old, I am American-Armenian and I have ADD and I would like for you to help me go to college. Ever since I remember I was always picked on because I was different, because my lack of social skills and because I was always daydreaming. You see even though we live in 2015, there is still a lot that we don't know about Learning Disabilities. One thing for sure, you probably know someone that has been diagnosed with either Autism, ADD, ADHD or some other syndrone. You probably have a learning disability yourself, and know first hand how hard it is when you are constantly label as slow, idiot, stupid or worse. Hopefully with some of the media attention on the subject, you probably already heard that great men like Einstain and Walt Disney had ADD. But there is so much work to be done, you see, I have ADD, but ADD does not define who I AM. I have dreams and aspirations and one of them is to go to college and graduate with a Bachelor's degree in International Business and travel the world, learn as many languages I can, share my story with the world as well as the many stories of other young people, whom just like me,  are also struggling trying to get rid of the many labels that they have received.  When I was only three years old, my father died because of CANCER, and since then my mother had to strugle working sometimes two jobs to support me. When I moved from California to Georgia during my Junior year in High School, I was bullied because I was different, because I was raised never to descriminate anyone based on their skin color, their background, or their beliefs and because ADD. So when I graduated fom High school I decided to take time off to help me find my true calling. That is when my former church in California offered me the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Armenia. It was an amazing experience because I was in the Land of my Ancestors, a place that my father longed to visit, but never had the ooportunity too. This experience not only made realized how blessed I was for living in such a wealthy country like the USA, but also made me realized how rich we are in comparison with other countries in the world. Unfortunately, we take a lot of things for granted. Then I realized that it will be wonderful to be able to travel all over the world and spread hope and be part of the change that needs to take place. I want to help others build healthy relationships not only on the business level, but most importantly on the Human level. I already speak six languages (my father was half Armenian and half Arab and my mother is Mexican) so Armenian, Arabic, Spanish and  English were a must at home. But after working in the food business for three years, I learned Chinese, and I'm currently learning Korean. I believe that if I want someone to listen to my story, I must learn to speak that person's language and listen to his/her story first. Get to know each other and accept others is as important as breathing. May you find in your heart to support my Dream and may our God bless you for your kindness and for helping me spread the message of Love and  Acceptance with others.
