This summer, I will have the incredible opportunity to travel to Kenya with my medical school, CUSOM, to participate in a medical mission trip serving rural and underserved communities. I am hoping to raise $5,400 to help cover the cost of airfare, lodging, transportation, food, and essential supplies needed to make this trip possible.
During this mission, our team will visit several rural villages where access to healthcare is extremely limited. We will be setting up free health clinics and providing care to patients of all ages, including health screenings, treatments, medications, and vaccinations—services many individuals would otherwise have little to no access to. The goal is simple but powerful: to meet people where they are and provide compassionate, high-quality care to those who need it most.
I signed up for this trip because service has always been at the heart of why I chose medicine.
This trip is a chance to do what I love—care for people who need it most—while also growing personally and professionally in a setting that is both challenging and deeply rewarding. It’s an opportunity to serve, to learn, and to contribute meaningfully to a community that can truly benefit from our presence. It's an experience that will challenge me, shape me, and ultimately make me a better physician.
Any donation, no matter the size, helps bring this mission to life and allows me to be part of work that I deeply believe in. Thank you so much for your support, encouragement, and generosity.
I have also included a link to the school website with more information about our school's Medical Missions and Outreach Program.
