HELP RESTORE POWER!
I'm so embarrassed to have to do this. We never ask for help. We're usually the ones donating the help. And I am beyond pissed off!!!! This has to be the most humiliating embarrassing thing to happen to us. My heart is so heartbroken and feel so horribly sad for my husband because he works his ass off every day in the condition he's in. His health hasnt been the greatest lately and he's in constant excruciating pain every minute of the day and night. I do not like seeing him like this. It's so sad and hard to watch. Especially when I'm helpless. I'm his wife. I'm supposed to take care of him make sure he's ok and sound. But I can't help him I can't make him feel better I can't take his pain away!!!
So here's the situation we find ourselves in today...
He's been injured AGAIN at work. Both his shoulders need surgery. The right side is a total shoulder replacement and the left side is a 2nd rotator cuff tear as well as a 2nd bicep tear. This has all happened before. years ago. So far this time he's missed 2 weeks of work and missed a few days here and there before that. He's been going to the doctor a lot and missing hours on the appointment days but still going back to work after appointments, He's been working while in. the worst pain just trying to stay afloat. And it's very hard on him. He has an appointment tonight for a MRI on his left shoulder to see what exactly happens and what the damage is and how they will approach for surgery!
Anyway I have been paying on the bill almost weekly. It wasn't ever more than a week late. Never more than $100 overdue. But the bill has been over $300 a month since January. I had been caught up until February but managed to get paid up. Well, now here we are just $113 past due as of the 10th of April. We called last week and explained why we've been late and when we'd get caught up and to let them know we'd be paying that past due $113 this week!
Well, they just shut our power off while my husband was on the phone with them trying to make arrangements. The total bill was 450.00. With the past due. He was making arrangements for the 113.00 and the March bill. Explaining his injurys and surgery's coming up.
The woman was anything but nice to him. She was rude, condescending, and very unprofessional, obviously lacking customer service skills. She was very entitled and not helpful whatsoever. Now telling him that he needs to come up with 800 bucks to turn the power back on, knowing he couldn't even pay the $113 until Friday, which was why he called in the first place—to make sure they still had those arrangements made SO THEY DIDN'T SHUT OFF THE POWER!!!
Yes, it is our responsibility, yes, we were past due by 2 weeks. And yes, we called to let them know we'd pay ASAP and yes, we pay our bills on time every month.
But... When you're injured and having a hard time using your arms to work and having to take time off, it's a little bit challenging. You'd think the PUD would be a little more understanding!!!!!!!!!!
So if anyone would like to help us out to try to raise money to get our power turned back on, we'd be forever grateful and very appreciative! Thank you for reading! And if you see the PUD, please give them the bird and tell them it's from the Fosters!!!
(Just kidding... Don't do that!)
