My name is Ashley and I’m hoping to get my father a little help. He was recently diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer. He will undergo surgery to remove the cancerous and inflammed areas of his colon on July 12th. They will also remove lymph nodes in the area to determine if it has spread and that will determine if he will need chemotherapy. He will likely have a 3-5 day hospital stay followed by a 6-8 weeks at home recovery. During this time he will be unable to work and provide. His wife Erica will have to take time from work to care for him and bring him to follow up appointments with surgeon and the oncologist.
