My story is a long one... It started in 2024 with one small mass on my ovary. I had blood work and scans, multiple tests! In December 2024, I was referred to oncology. In February 2025, I had a biopsy that confirmed Ovarian Cancer. We then went into March to remove the one tumor. They cut from chest to pelvic for my doctor to close me back up immediately. It was then confirmed: Stage 4 ovarian cancer, low-grade metastatic carcinoma. It had spread to both ovaries, uterus, colon, and liver. We had planned for chemotherapy. I had my port placed and had 3 rounds of chemotherapy. I had excruciating side effects, and the results were that chemotherapy didn't target my cancer at all. So, on June 28th, due to the tumor in my bowels, I had a bowel obstruction and was hospitalized. I had surgery on July 1st, a 7-hour surgery in which my oncologist debulked 70+ tumors, performed a full hysterectomy, had to cut out some of my bowel, and place an ileostomy. They also took tissue to examine during this procedure. Not sure if it was known, but I got some nerve damage, losing function in my left arm. From it all, we were in hopes he left nothing behind. I spent 3 weeks hospitalized with complications of ileus formations, PICC lines, NPO due to NG tube, and TPN feedings. I had to decrease swelling in my kidneys and do physical therapy and wound care, all while controlling my type 1 diabetes. I was finally released home to a long recovery. But in August, I had the ostomy reversed. From then, we had hoped it was over and I could just monitor and maintain recovery. But as days went by, I had fallen, I had been very fatigued, had a decreased appetite, and had noticeable areas on my body. On December 26th, I had my first PET scan, and the prognosis is my cancer has spread back to my abdomen, pelvic, colon, liver, chest, lungs, and one cardiophrenic tumor. My oncologist has performed and ordered further testing. But this now has been a financial burden. I have to have a caregiver, in which my fiancé is having to be with me 24/7. I am now using a walker and wheelchair. As well as my options are clinical trials offered, but it consists of many out-of-pocket expenses for medications, travel, room for extensive care an hour or further away. All while maintaining our everyday living expenses and kids. If you could please help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it. And if you can't, that's fine. A prayer and share is absolutely appreciated too. Thank you!
