Like clockwork, this caring man has a warm smile on his face to greet you followed by asking you how you are doing. He’ll listen contently, he’ll share a story and his endless wisdom with you. Sometimes, you don’t even get the chance to ask him how he’s doing. You see, talking about you is a chance for him to escape his struggles.
“Well hidden and out of sight for no one to see.” That’s the best description of the pain and struggles that goes on behind the scenes in Henry Jodoin’s everyday life. From his failed back surgery leaving him in continuous pain, to the diabetes that ravages his body, to strokes and a heart attack.
This tough as nails man has been through lifetimes of challenges. Yet, he’s got that smile and warmth.
His worst challenge is now upon him. His right leg is being amputated from the knee down. It’s tough to write. It’s tough to imagine his loss and pain, the major challenges that lie ahead for him. Being disabled and on an extremely fixed income, Henry and Tammy who nearly don’t ask for anything are in need of your help. We need to modify their house in order for Henry to perform everyday tasks like showering, entering and leaving the house, taking care of extra medical expenses, transportation, etc. Donating will help increase Henry’s quality of life from this traumatic experience. On behalf of Henry’s wonderful friends and family, we thank you.
