Samantha Black (Kaczmarek), 32, was a devoted wife to Chris and an amazing, loving mother to Stella (5) and Riley (2). She was a 3rd grade teacher at Archbold Elementary who took pride in her students. She often referred to the Archbold community as magical.

Samantha was diagnosed with stage IV, triple negative ductal breast cancer 8 months ago. She fought through the chemo and double mastectomy with positivity and grace. She has done this all while continuing to nurture her family and continue to show up for her students.

Shortly after her mastectomy in February, she learned that the cancer had returned.

The aggressive cancer progressed and ultimately, due to complications, she lost her battle surrounded by her family and friends on April 5, 2026.

Many have prayed, donated their time or a meal and we are grateful and thankful for all of you. We are now asking for continued prayers for Samantha, her husband Chris and their two beautiful daughters.
