Jorgie's Doctor visit in Arkansas.

If you know me, you probably know that I've been dealing with (very) chronic pain for the last five years. Headaches, neck pain, ear ringing, jaw pain, etc. I don't go to school or work because of how bad it is. I don't do much throughout the day because the pain is so bad. I really want to return to school but can't until treatment helps.

I have been on medical leave from UC Irvine since 2019. I had only just started and had to withdraw after one quarter. Since then, I've been seeing doctor after doctor trying to find a treatment that will help. I've been looking for a TMJ doctor to treat me, and we're going to see one next week.

My search for treatment is leading me out of state. Next Friday, Nov 25, my mom and I are going to Arkansas to see Doctor Nick. I've seen a few specialists around here, but I haven't heard of this detailed screening process or treatment for the jaw he offers (if his testing confirms I'm a candidate). The appointment is a week long, with two days of testing before you even do a treatment. I'm excited! The only thing is it's pretty expensive, and I had to wait months to make the appointment because of the cost. And even then, our trip is mainly paid for through credit cards.
