In Loving Memory of Ambrose Stevens
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I am opening this fundraising effort for the Stevens Family as they are so suddenly and far too soon left to grieve the loss of their anchor, Ambrose Stevens.
On Monday evening, Ambrose collapsed after experiencing respiratory complications from a potential sinus infection due to Covid. The AMR crew was able to provide care and transfer him to the ER. However, Ambrose’s brain was deprived of oxygen for too long and on 2/14 he was declared brain dead. As of 2/15 he is still on life support awaiting donor recipients so he can continue saving lives - even posthumously.
While Ambrose is loved by so many people; most urgently, he leaves behind the greatest loves of his life - his wife, Amber and daughters, Bo (2) and Remi (6 months).

Even before stepping into his most cherished role as loving husband and father, Ambrose dedicated his life to helping others; he spent the last almost 20 years working with American Medical Response (AMR) in many roles most recently as Operations Manager. He has deployed with FEMA for many different disasters over the years; as well as with Pure Works to provide medical service after civil war in Burundi Africa, Haiti and with Amber after an earthquake in Nepal. No doubt anyone who knows this family has a story of how one or both has lent a helping hand in one capacity or another. And always with a smile: radiant and infectious, can’t-help-but-smile-back type of smiles.

So, it’s our turn: Lets wrap our arms around Amber, the girls, all of those who love the Stevens family -- and help where we can.
Amber is facing the insurmountable and unthinkable task of not only having to plan a service for her husband but also to raise their two sweet girls on her own. Medical bills, funeral expenses and raising children is expensive. I know I am not the only person who immediately wanted to figure out how to help during this tragic time, so - with this platform, we all have an opportunity to contribute and help lift some of the immediate and future financial burdens that Amber faces.
Every cent received from this fundraiser will go directly to Amber and her girls - to help pay for the medical, service related, and child related expenses that she faces going forward.
A Celebration of Life for Ambrose is scheduled:
Sunday, March 17th, 11AM
Ventura Majestic Theater 26 S Chestnut St
Ventura, CA 93001.
9AM Paddle Out to precede the Celebration.
Thank you for reading - and for supporting this fiercely loved Stevens Family.
