In Loving Memory of Michael Woods
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my father, Michael Woods, who left us on Wednesday, February 12. He was a devoted father of four. He was also a proud grandfather. As the oldest of his children, I had the privilege of witnessing my father’s wisdom, his love for life, and the strength he showed every single day.
Michael was not only a father, but also a son, a brother, a nephew, and a cousin. His family was everything to him, and he made sure to stay connected with each of us, always offering love, advice, and his unwavering support. He cherished every role he held within our family and worked hard to maintain those bonds, no matter the challenges life threw his way.
He was loved by so many, and his presence brought comfort and warmth to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His relationships were a testament to the impact he had on the lives of others.
Michael had a strong work ethic and was always committed to going after the best opportunities he could find. His drive and determination were central to everything he did, whether it was in his professional life or in his personal endeavors. Though there were challenges, he never stopped striving to improve and make the most of every situation.
Beyond his work, Michael was an incredible friend and mentor to those who knew him. He had a natural gift for lifting people up, always offering words of encouragement, advice, and a dose of humor that could light up the room. His laugh was infectious, and his ability to make others feel seen and valued was something he took great pride in. He cherished every moment spent with the people he loved.
Despite his many strengths, my father carried a heavy heart. After the loss of his mother and then his son Lamont, he faced deep grief that became an ever-present challenge in his life. While it was difficult for him to fully move past the pain of these losses, he did everything he could to live in the moment and find joy in the little things. Even in his darkest days, he continued to share his wisdom, offer support to others, and remain present for the people who needed him. His resilience in the face of hardship is something we will always admire.
As we lay him to rest, we are asking for your support to help cover the funeral and memorial expenses during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us honor his memory and provide the peace of mind he so deserves. We are deeply grateful for your kindness, love, and support as we navigate this painful loss and celebrate the remarkable life of a man who gave so much to all of us.
With love and gratitude,
