XPLORid - World Bicycle Tour - Aid Projects

A journey of discovery by bicycle
Since June 15 2020 we, Ben and I, are on a world bicycle tour. Cycling across the whole world. 100,000 km through more than 80 countries. Without getting on a plane.
Every day is a new adventure. We cycle about 60 km and never know where we will stop for the night. We like to discover other cultures. That's why we knock on people’s doors at the end of the day to ask for a place to stay. In this way we meet a lot of different people.
We are often invited to stay in a guest room. If there’s no place to stay indoors, we camp in the garden. In remote areas we also sleep in our tent. In good weather we only use our mattress and a mosquito net.
You can follow our adventures in our blogs , on Instagram , Facebook , Youtube , Twitter , Strava and Komoot .
During our world bicycle tour, we knock on people's doors to ask for a place to stay for the night. We are often welcomed very warmly. The hospitality we experience is unprecedented. That’s why we would like to give something in return.
When we meet people in need, we locally buy what they need. In addition, we directly support nature (conservation) projects.
Our goal is to help people and nature. Not by giving money, but by buying locally what is needed.
We describe all aid projects on our website. We add photos and/or videos of our visit. All projects are on the “XPLORaid ” page. In this way all of our supporters can see what we do with the donations.
We raise 1 euro for every kilometer we cycle. This equals € 100,000 for our aid projects. All donations to the foundation are used to help human and nature. We finance our world bicycle tour completely by ourselves.
Join this adventure and support us with a few cycling kilomters. For more information, please visit www.xplorid.today.
