Dear Friends and Family,
We’re reaching out with hearts full of gratitude to share an update on Dax's healing.
As many of you know, our 3-year-old nephew Dax was involved in a car fire accident three months ago. Since that day, Jamie has been by his side, living in the hospital ICU, focused entirely on his healing and recovery. It’s been an incredibly difficult time, but also one filled with moments of courage, strength, and so much love.
We cannot thank you enough for the outpouring of support—your kind messages, prayers, and generosity have lifted us in ways we can’t fully express. Knowing we’re not walking this road alone has made all the difference.
Dax is showing incredible resilience, and we’re now preparing for the next steps: transitioning from the ICU to rehabilitation in-patient care. We are hopeful that he will be able to leave the hospital and transition home by the end of the summer. While we are eager to reach this milestone, it comes with new challenges—specialized care, therapy, equipment, and adjustments to everyday life. There will be a long road to recovery including more surgeries, rehabilitation and travel to Sacramento. We are forever grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff at Shriners Hospital.
If you feel moved to support us during this next chapter, we would be deeply grateful. Every contribution—big or small—helps ease the burdens ahead and allows us to focus on what matters most: helping our sweet boy heal and thrive.
Thank you for being a part of our story and standing with us every step of the way.
With love and gratitude,
Jamie and the Vieira family
