We are a group of community organizers raising tuition funds for a local social justice community advocate and law student in Sacramento, California to continue into their third year of law school. Despite a political and economic climate that has met them with countless barriers as an Afro-Bangladeshi, Disabled, Queer, Non-binary person, they have been passionately navigating the institution of law for the benefit of our most underrepresented community members.

Our beloved comrade has been active in providing legal investigation and paralegal services for the ACLU, Legal Services of Northern CA, Disability Rights Defense and Education Fund, Pal Legal, National Lawyers Guild, Disability Rights California, National Homeless Law Center, Regional Homeless Union, and other civil/impact litigation and criminal defense attorneys. They continue this work as co-founder of Sacramento's ticket defense clinic which offers free legal support for unhoused community members, created to fight the rising tide of criminalization of homelessness and poverty.

They did not wait for a law license in order to significantly impact the local law landscape for our most at-risk community members and social justice movements. We would like to honor and support this commitment and dedication by raising the necessary funds that would allow them to continue their journey in becoming a community centered, justice driven attorney!
