Help Kaitlyn Overcome Her Medical Challenges

Dear Friends and Family of Kaitlyn Soderberg,

Please take a moment to learn about my amazing neighbor, Kaitlyn Soderberg. She is 21 years old, and is in her last year at MSUM earning a degree in developmental adaptive physical education. Kaitlyn was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis while pregnant with Kayson in January 2022. Kaitlyn tried many medications to control the disease but nothing seemed to work. After many hospital stays, failed medications and two years on steroids, she was sent to Mayo Clinic. Recently Kaitlyn had a colonoscopy done at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN where they found her UC to be severe and she needed surgery immediately to remove her entire large intestine. Kaitlyn currently has a temporary ileostomy and will need two more surgeries. Her next surgery is scheduled in Rochester in August. She works at CCRI and has missed a lot of work and will miss another 4-5 weeks with each surgery. Along with all the above, Kaitlyn is an amazing mama to Kayson who was born in June 2022. Kaitlyn has always been a selfless neighbor and has always been there when her family, friends, neighbors need anything. She has an infectious smile that will brighten your day. Please consider helping her out whether it is a financial donation, or words of support. She is truly an amazing young lady that has faced (and still is facing) this awful disease with her strong faith in God, positivity, and determination. Kaitlyn's parents, brother, sister and brother-in-law, grandparents and friends have been a wonderful support system not only when things get rough, but help with caring for her number one fan, her son Kayson.

Kaitlyn's medical expenses such as co payments, medications, ileostomy supplies, week long hotel stays in Rochester and her missing work really adds up quickly. Any monetary donations will be used for these things.
