This page is for our son Caleb. Caleb has a growth hormone deficiency, which requires specialized medication. When Caleb turned four years old we started to become worried because he did not appear to be getting bigger. His two older brothers were twice his size when they turned four. Thus we sought out answers. Caleb was run through a series of tests which was required per insurance purposes. The results of those tests indicated that Caleb at the age of four was producing the same amount of natural growth hormone as a 25 year old adult. Not nearly enough hormone to aid his growth.
We quickly took action as parents and started the HGH treatments for Caleb, with outstanding results. He has been on the medications for almost a year now. He has grown several inches, and gained weight. He even eats better than ever before.
As parents, you always try your best to give your children the best possibility of an improved life. For Caleb, this is what is needed currently. Growth Hormone is not cheap. With Insurance and co-pay assistance from the pharmaceutical company we are still thousands of dollars out of pocket for his medication.
Caleb is extremely brave; the way this medication is administered is through an injectable pen, which is required every day before bedtime. He never cries, never complains, and he is 100% understanding of why he must take this medication.
Caleb has huge aspirations for his life. He calls himself “The Blue Ninja” after his favorite Ninja Turtle, Leonardo. He one day wants to fly with the Blue Angels. He loves Baseball, and spending time with his brothers, cousins, and grand-parents.
