Xocol Cattery

PLEASE CONSIDER OFFERING YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO XOCOL HAVANA BROWN CATTERY. Frank and the brownies have suffered a tragic loss with the death of the Xocol Cattery founder, Shelly Ducharme.  During this traumatic time, the Havana Brown Family has been amazing and come together to help the cats and protect our small breed gene pool as Frank manages his family crisis.  It has been amazing to watch so many onwers, exhibitors and breeders come together to support one of their own and give so much for this breed that they all love.
After the first week, cats from other breeders have been returned to their breeders. HB moms and kittens have been recovered by other breeders who have the facilities to care for them where they will care for both moms and babies.  Frank has also relinquished some of the young adult females to other catteries who agree to carry on their lines and respect Shelly's legacy.
Cats or kittens that Shelly had already promised to individuals will be sent to those homes and owners/co-owners will have the option of recovering their cats as well.
A tremendous amount of time, energy and money has already been spent during this effort. Several people driving hundreds of miles to mobilize at the drop of a hat, offering support to Frank, help with the cats, getting animals nto Vet services when necessary, helping with delivery of kittens and providing medical care for those in need.  Unfortunately, an effort such as this becomes VERY expensive so we are asking that you, the friends and family of the Havana Brown Community, consider helping by offering a bit of financial support to our community so that Vet fees can be paid and all animals can be cared for and transported to their forever homes. This will help allow the cats to remain with the breeders who can keep the genetics in our gene pool so that the Havana Breed will continue for years to come adn Shelly's legacy will be behind many of them.
Any contributed funds remaining, will go towards the vetting of the animals that remain with Frank. Should he choose not to continue breeding, it will help to place those animals in other appropriate homes.
Thank you in advance for your contribution. I assure you it is appreciated by both us and the cats!
