Xochitl, Steven Johnson Syndrome.
My partner had a reaction to a medication which triggered "Steven Johnson Syndrome." It's a condition that essentially burns you from the inside out. Fortunately for her, it affected mostly her exterior, mouth and eyes. She spent three weeks at a burn unit, where they did take great care of her. The recovery for this particular illness is lengthy, and with no health insurance because of her inability to work (Medicaid pending) we are paying for everything out of pocket. I've done my best to be there for her, and manage her care effectively. I've also had to take plenty of time off work. While she was in the hospital a pipe burst in our home and I've been mangaging an arduous rehab while balancing everything else. I'm typically not the type to ask for help, but this has been extremely overwhelming for everyone involved. Appreciate you all, thanks for taking the time to read.

Mi pareja tuvo una reacción a un medicamento que desencadenó "Síndrome de Steven Johnson". Es una condición que esencialmente te quema de adentro hacia afuera. Afortunadamente para ella, afectó principalmente su exterior, boca y ojos. Pasó tres semanas en una unidad de quemaduras, donde se cuidaron mucho de ella.
