Xochil Needs Us: Medical Bills Relief

Anyone that knows Xochil knows she's literally in the Top 5 Human Beings of All Time. She has XO in her name! She loves her people big because that's the only way she knows how. She's a show-up friend, and right now she needs her people to show up for her. And since she's not going to come out and ask, I will.

Last year Xochil's world was flipped upside down when she had a stroke. What followed was a stretch of unemployment in the household, a stolen credit card (that the bank is refusing to cover!), and the endless onslaught of regular ass life expenses, which are more expensive than they have ever been in our lifetime.

Even with insurance and despite both she and her husband working full-time and doing all they can, the reality is that the medical bills which exceed $11,000 have now made paying for life impossible. Everything has been leveraged -- a lien on the car, maxed out credit cards to cover basic expenses. And there are simply no other resources coming in.

Xochil is the best human, and she's got a family, she's raising two more of the best humans. And right now she's scared as hell about how to keep momming the best she can under these circumstances. Our faith in her gumption and unflappability won't pay the bills. She needs our help. We all need help from time to time. And I wouldn't be writing this if it wasn't a serious need.

Xochil is a shining star. If you can, please show up for her the way she shows up for all of us, time and time again.
