Financial emergency
Dear all,
My name is Tony, and I live in Mechelen, Belgium. These last 2 years have been quite unique. For me personally; in the most positive way possible; but then also with a big deal of adversity, and challenge; mainly financially. I do know that many around the world are in similar situation, in which case already sharing this will be already help enough.
This is our current situation: due to circumstances that emerged as result of the pandemic, I've incurred in payment delays of my loan, that have built up to around 4000 €. Because of bad/no communication, the situation was extended for more than it was needed, and now we're at this point where we're risking to lose our home and the life project of a B&B we've been working on up to this moment; any other alternatives have been ruled out by the bank.
We are knocking all doors, because it's both absolutely critical and imperative for us to reach out: The options at hand are not promising and so we're considering any potential help as a possibility of turning the situation to the positive. We will not be able to do so with the resources at hand right now. The trial in court with the bank starts on the 13th of September 2021.
You may consider donating, and our gratitude will be with you forever.
If you some day visit Belgium/Mechelen, know that you'll have a place to stay at no cost, and with our best will of making you feel at home.
You may consider that you can offer some financial advice instead, or provide some opportunity to exchange services for money, that is also a possibility: I speak 4 languages (Dutch, English, French, Spanish), am not too bad a photographer and I'm quite a Handyman; so feel free to contact me if in need of any of the above.
If you're willing to help with a relevant amount, and want to discuss in person the details, write down a contract on how to return you the money in time; I am also open to this option, no issues.
On our end
Right now the B&B project will be put in Standby and the studio will be rented on permanent bases for the next year, this to deal with the situation from September onwards; also to have the means to be able to pay back in time the potencial moneylenders.
I've subscribed to a program of Medical tests which appear from time to time, and offer good compensations on a relatively short timespan.
We're squeezing our personal finances to the max, as any reasonable person would do in this situation.
'Thank you' can at times be a really limited way to express gratitude, but it's a good start either way.
