In 2010 Milette & Shane Ho'opai were blessed with a beautiful daughter who they named Aleizha Marie Leiano'imailani Ho'opai. When Aleizha was 2 their world has turned upside down when she started experiencing urinary issues. At 3 years old she has gone to see many doctors, specialist on the island of Hawaii. January 2013 she was taken in for surgery at kapiolani Children's Hospital on the island of Oahu. What was expected to be a 5-6 hours surgery, only lasted an hour and a half -2 hours. the doctor came to tell both parents that the local team of specialist were not capable of performing Aleizha's reconstructive surgery to her urinary track system. In search of some answers the Ho'opai Ohana needed to come together and travel to Cincinnati, Ohio where a team of specialist qualified to perform the surgery that she so desperately needed.
March 2013 the Family packed up and flew to the mainland in search of some help.
To make a long story short. It is June 2015, and she has undured surgeries and as she gets older she requires more. This family has travelled to Boston for some help as well. She continues to stay strong and she constantly reminds us all that "God will make it all better."
We (the freinds of Aleizah Ho'opai) are focused on doing whatever it takes to help her get to where she needs to go to seek the help she so needs to stop her pain. Unfortunately, it does require plane tickets, room, time off from work from both parents and not to mention medical expenses.
With this my husband Andy Boteilho gave me a challenge!
He told me if I could raise $5,000. he would wear the minitstop chicken costume in the Trucker's Christmas Parade in Waimea.
Now you tell me who would'nt wanna see a 6'4 chicken?
We came together to start this go fund me account to help our little pukashell tourguide, if at this time you can not make a monetary donation, please share this on your social media so that we may help cover the expenses for this Family.
