Kyle Ramey’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read Kyle’s story. On Monday, December 2nd Kyle suffered a grand mal seizure, lasting around 30 minutes. He was rushed to the emergency room and transferred to Indianapolis to see neurology. He had multiple tests and scans done, but they could not pinpoint a cause. He sustained a concussion as a result and cannot drive for at least 6 months. He will see a neurologist regularly and will be on medication indefinitely.
Since Kyle was 4 his life has been all about bluegrass music. He picked up his grandfathers mandolin at age 4 and never looked back. He is musically gifted, he can hear a song or note and can play it. Our family traveled to numerous concerts and bluegrass festivals over the years for the opportunity for Kyle to play music. He traveled to Tennessee multiple summers in a row winning several awards in several different instruments. In February 2022 his dreams became a reality when a band that he had followed for over 10 years called and asked him if he wanted to try out for the band. He got the opportunity to travel with them for a few weeks and eventually got hired as a full time band member of Dailey & Vincent. He travels the United States playing shows. He plays at venues like the Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman and so many more.
Since the seizure he has not been able to travel for work. His job and livelihood rely on him driving states away to meet the bus, meet the band at the airport, driving to venues and the recording studio. Kyle will be unable to work and play music for the foreseeable future. We would appreciate any donations to help him with his medical bills and all the prayers you can give during this time of Kyle learning his new normal.
Thank you so much!
