Burpees for Brain Cancer - 3,000 burpees in 30 days to raise money for Brain Cancer research.

Why? Recently, my Uncle’s partner, Natalie, has been diagnosed with brain cancer and given only a few months to live. I will be completing 3,000 burpees in 30 days to show my support for Nat and raise money for Brain Cancer research. The money raised may not be able to help Nat at this point in time, but I hope that it will prevent this from happening to others in the future by helping to find a cure. 

As brain cancer is a rare disease, there has been limited investment in finding a cure and survival rates have not changed much in 30 years. Cure Brain Cancer Foundation focuses on investment in research, advocacy and awareness activities which will achieve their mission of increasing 5 year survival rates to 50% by 2023. 3,000 burpees is going to be a challenge. That’s 100 burpees a day over the 30 days. It’s going to hurt, it’s going to mentally push me and it’s probably going to suck at some point... but I’m sure nothing can compare to the pain that comes with battling cancer.
