Haiti Earthquake Relief Funds
My name is Dancy Debrosse. I’m a law enforcement officer, and I’m Haitian-American. I have an older brother who’s a physician and a younger brother who’s a financial analyst. Like many in the US, I was shocked to hear the news of the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti, on August 14th. The death toll has surpassed 2000, and it is still climbing.
This tragedy came during a period of increased political instability, in the country. Search and rescue missions have been hampered as a result of a tropical storm, which hit just a few days after the quake. Countless people are traumatized by the loss of their homes and loved ones, which has caused many to sleep outside, while grieving...
If you are able to make a donation, please support this GoFundMe page. My goal is to help relief efforts on the ground, namely with food and other essential supplies. My plan is: once the funding goal is met, to travel to Haiti, purchase supplies there, load them on trucks, and distribute it directly to the victims. I have been in touch with several childhood friends currently living in Haiti, who will assist me once I'm there.
Thank you for your time and support.
