Help Suresh Kothapalli Fight for His Life

This campaign is to help Suresh Kotthapalli (46 Years) who is fighting for his life. Owing to his humble origin, Suresh has been a hardworking and service oriented family man. He lives in a small rented house in the village of Peda Vadlapudi , a small village near Vijayawada. He used to work as a school bus driver and his life is full of sweet memories with the school children who greet him as “Bus Uncle” on a daily basis. Suresh has been  living a simple life with his wife and only child , well within his means walking on a tightrope balancing the needs of the family with his income. Swati, Suresh’s wife always supported her husband by taking up work at Akshaya Tiffin centre in the village as a kitchen hand. Both are soft spoken and well regarded in their neighborhood for their hard work and respect towards elders. 

Sometimes, life takes a U turn without giving any warning. His life was smoothly running with his wife and son till last September. Last September, he was tested positive for Tuberculosis and a very fragile treatment was given in the local government hospital as he couldn’t afford the treatment in corporate hospitals. Now, his condition got even worse. He is now affected by Paralysis & Brain Trauma so bad that he can’t move his right side of the body and  lost spine senses. He’s completely bedridden, being attended by his wife and 15 year old son. His son is under panic as he had to juggle between father’s health and SSC examinations (Due to Covid the exams are postponed and the Government is planning to organize them soon). We hope he stays strong to pass SSC exams while suffering through perhaps the most difficult phase of his life!

4 days ago, Suresh’s situation worsened and was taken to  Sritha Hospital In Vijayawada. Upon initial examination,  the doctor suggested an MRI scan. The reports were alarming to every one of us. The MRI test revealed that the TB infection has now spread to the brain. His upper part of the brain is completely filled with fluid and it has to be cleaned immediately. Based on the hospital admission charges, doctor’s treatment and required medications ,complete  treatment is estimated to cost around USD $9K - $11K in India. Suresh is the only person who earns daily bread for the family. Since he was unable to work for the last few months, his relatives helped the family from September to till now.  None of the relatives are able to bear current estimated medical expenses as Suresh's ever-increasing medical expenses have simply become untenable. 
Now, here is where I and my cousins (Suresh’s sister and Nephew) need all of your help. Requesting you all to contribute with any amount you can to help Suresh and help the family to stand strong again. Based on the Doctor’s advice, we are confident that Suresh can make a full recovery if right resources are provided. We are hoping that he will recover and be able to stand on his feet again to see his son grow! Any donations will go towards his treatment in  Sritha Hospital , Vijayawada and NIMS , Hyderabad incidental expenses during treatment. If anyone needs the soft copy of the medical reports, we’ll be able to provide. 

Suresh is my grandmother's nephew. Since he is in India , i will be withdrawing funds on my name and sending the amount to his bank account using money transfer systems. I will be providing evidence of the same.
