I'm Stefanie, let's be honest, 2024 just isn't my year. Money has been tight and every time I think I'm just about to dig myself out of a hole, something else happens. First, it was bat removal and attic proofing. Then it was a main sewer line break and now my best friend is sick. I can only hope that it's uphill from here...

Over the last few years, my life has been everything but stable. From moving around, being away from family, and being separated from my significant other, the only consistent thing is Kiki. She has helped me through some of the hardest times and now it's my turn to return the favor!

Over the last two days, I noticed a lump on her leg and based on feeling it, it wasn't too reassuring. I immediately took her to the vet for an evaluation and received some hard news. Preliminary results are likely a sarcoma, a soft tissue tumor, that is pretty embedded into her scrawny leg. The conformational biopsy and tumor grading are pending. I'm hoping since it was caught so fast, it can be a quick, clean excision that doesn't require chemo. However, at this time, it's unclear.

I have opted to do the procedure as quickly as possible to eliminate the possibility of it spreading and invading any further tissue since it seems to have developed rather quickly.

I making this fundraiser to help cover the costs of treatment including labs, removal, and possible skin graft since the tumor is in an area with limited skin and tissue. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated!
