Wiley Family
In 2019, Whitney was diagnosed with Large Cell Neuroendocrine cancer of the cervix and underwent a radical hysterectomy. In December of 2021 , the cancer returned and has metastasized to Stage IV cancer. Whitney has undergone three rounds of chemotherapy treatments. Unfortunately, today we learned the chemo is not working as the doctors had hoped. The cancer has continued to spread.
She and her husband Justin have two young kids, ages 10 and 8. They are two of Whitney's biggest supporters through her battle with cancer. Whitney is a pre-school teacher, but she hasn't been able to work since December. She has had to change her insurance to Cobra causing medical expenses to pile up.
Whitney started radiation today and will begin immunotherapy treatments. We are also pursuing a clinic in Houston. Some of these recommended treatments are not covered by insurance and will continue to add up to large medical bills. We are not going to give up on our sweet Whitney because no one in this family fights alone.
If you want to donate to help with medical and other ongoing bills, know that your generosity is greatly appreciated! They have truly felt the love and support from their family and friends. They deeply appreciate all of the prayers and encouragement. Please continue to pray for Whitney and her family. We all have faith that God is taking care of Whitney as she navigates this challenging journey. Thank you again for your love, support, prayers, and encouragement to the Wiley Family.
