This Go Fund Me is an ongoing campaign to fund travel from Las Vegas to the FRC World Championships.
Green Valley Robotics shocked the world in their 2019 rookie season as they took on three robots in an epic 3 on 1 match at the 2019 FRC Las Vegas Regional FIRST Robotics Competition. The entire Thomas and Mack Center stopped to watch. Everyone's eyes were glued to the jumbo-tron as the solidly engineered trusty robot, Dimitri, on the Red Alliance not only out score the 3 other robots, but also took a brief pause to play defense and stop the Blue Alliance from scoring.
This one match, captured not only the attention of FRC Hall of Fame teams 987 and 842 who latter picked them to be their 3rd alliance member, but proved that the Rookie Green Valley Robotics team, 7425, has what it takes to win championships.
Team 7425 has the work ethic to be serious contenders to qualify for the FRC World Championships. Everyday they challenge themselves like never before to become better.
At the FRC Championships they will meet teams from around the world and build a network within a global community of students who will shape the future. They will meet with colleges offering scholarships to Robotics students. They will have the opportunity to meet future employers such as Qualcomm, Google, Magna, KeySight Technologies, Ford, and Lockheed Martin, just to name a few.
We have been busy fundraising on the ground level hosting dinners at local restaurants, having weekly bake sales, and seeking corporate sponsors.
We do all this just to qualify for the FRC World Championships
The registration cost for a FRC World Championship event is $5000.
Our team, which has both male and female students will need a total of 7 hotel rooms
We will be flying on Southwest Airlines with tickets costing around $400-500 per person.
The total cost for Green Valley Robotics, team 7425 to attend and compete in the FRC World Championships is well over $10,000!
Our Goal is to raise $10,000 dollars each year we qualify for the FRC World Championships. We can do this only with your help.
Thank you for your support of our future Scientists, Technicians, Engineers, and Mathematicians.
