EARTHQUAKE DISASTER IN MOROCCO

The moroccan society in Alberta is launching an urgent appeal to raise funds to help the people of Morocco recover from a catastrophic earthquake that has left our communities shattered. The earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.8, struck Morocco on the 8th of September 2023, causing widespread devastation, loss of life, and leaving countless families homeless, they need our help now more than ever, and together, we can make a difference.

The Situation:

The earthquake has taken a heavy toll on Morocco, with many villages in ruins. Homes have been reduced to rubble, and essential infrastructure like hospitals, schools, and roads have been severely damaged. Families are struggling to find shelter, clean water, and food. The situation is dire, and immediate assistance is crucial to save lives and rebuild communities.

Our Mission:

We have launched this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for earthquake relief efforts in Morocco. Your generous contributions will be used to support affected families and we will make sure all collected funds will be directed to the families in need in morocco.

The president of the moroccan society in Alberta and two of our board members are currently in Morocco and they will be the ones who get the collected funds and deliver it to the people in need.
