Hi I am Sarah and for as long as I can remember I've dreamt of traveling and exploring the world.

Leaving everything I know behind for a while and living in a completely different world with new traditions, cultures and people.

After my exams i finally get the chance - an exchange year to Canada.

Why Canada?

I've thought about where I was going to travel for a long time but Canada really spoke to me.

This is because it's a safe country so I know my mom will be okay and won't have to worry about me.

Because they speak English, but also French a language I've always wanted to learn for as long as I can remember and most importantly..

The amazing nature, wildlife and cultural differences.

Why this means so much to me:

Ever since I was a kid I've had lots of interests in the different cultures around the world.

What they eat, how they speak, what they like, etc.

And I feel like it's such an important and educational thing to learn how traditions and more differ around the world.

I want to challenge myself, meet new people, become more independent and figure out who I am outside of everything that I already know.

I know this exchange will shape me and stay with me for the rest of my life.

Why I am asking for help:

The only problem is... an exchange year is not cheap. At all. - around €22.000 that covers the flights, administration costs, insurance, school costs and all the guidance from the exchange program.

I've gotten alot of help from my family, wich I am very thankfull of and I've also put myself out there too help.

Working extra long shifts, doing small tasks for friends and neighbours and more.

Sadly this was still not enough to go.

That's why I am asking for help. Every little bit, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to making this dream real.

By helping me you are not only just funding my adventure and making a teen girl the happiest she's ever been - you're investing in my growth and education, and I promise to take you all with me through updates, photo's and stories.
