Dear friends, family, and animal lovers,

I’m reaching out to share the story of my dear friend Shawna and her husband AJ, who are facing a heartbreaking challenge with their beloved cat, Oliver. Over the summer, Oliver was diagnosed with feline coronavirus and a rare condition: funnel chest, which affects only 1-3% of cats. This condition is causing his ribs to deform, impacting his liver and crushing his other organs. Tragically, his situation is worsening every day.

Recently, Oliver was hospitalized with a temperature of 104°F and struggled to breathe. Shawna and AJ have poured every available dollar into his care, but with vet bills and surgery costs projected to reach around $25,000, they simply can’t do it alone. They have always gone above and beyond to help others—people and animals alike—and it’s time we come together to support them in their time of need.
