This GoFundMe is for my 29-year-old daughter, Jade. She has been diagnosed with terminal bone cancer. Although she has been provided with this devastating diagnosis, we are hoping that alternative medicine may provide options that will help her condition, or as a minimum extend her life expectancy. Our goal is to raise $20,000 so that she may explore this option. Here is Jade's story:
Jade lives in Mayo, Quebec and has a 7-year old son, Nikolas, who she loves very much. Jade is no longer with Nikolas' father and has shared custody. In 2017 Jade became pregnant with her second child, but at that time she was also diagnosed with uterine cancer. Jade was faced with the difficult decision to either end her pregnancy or to let the cancer take its toll on her life. After much agonizing thought, Jade decided to terminate her pregnancy, and at the advice of the doctor had a complete hysterectomy. Because of all the sickness surrounding her illness, Jade had no choice but to cut back on her parental access to her son; she was too sick to properly care for Nikolas.
Thinking that she was done with cancer was premature as it returned in October 2018. Jade now had liver and lung cancer. She was operated on in February 2019 and had part of her liver and right lung removed. Jade continued with reduced access to her son due to her illness and recovery time. After the operation, the doctor assured Jade that the cancer was gone and that she would heal and be able to resume a normal life.
Jade did start to feel better and landed a job at a new cannabis plant where she was performing well. The prospect of job promotion was in the picture, and as Jade was feeling better, she took the steps to increase her parental access with her son Nikolas. The good times were abruptly cut short. Jade began having intolerable pain and checked into the hospital. The cancer came back in November 2019 and is extremely aggressive. She now has bone cancer, and her uterine cancer that was thought to be gone, has now spread throughout her body. She has been told that her bone cancer is incurable. She was fast-tracked to begin radiation and chemotherapy treatments in order to slow down the cancer progression.
Jade's hope at this time is to have the opportunity to explore options that may extend her life and enable her to spend as much time as possible with her son Nikolas and her family.

En 2017, Jade est devenue enceinte de son deuxième enfant, mais à cette époque, on lui a également diagnostiqué un cancer de l'utérus. Jade était confrontée à la difficile décision de mettre fin à sa grossesse ou de laisser le cancer faire des ravages dans sa vie. Après avoir longuement réfléchi, Jade décida de mettre fin à sa grossesse et, sur l'avis du médecin, subit une hystérectomie complète. En raison de toutes les maladies entourant celle-ci, Jade n’a eu d’autre choix que de réduire son accès parental à son fils ; elle était trop malade pour s'occuper correctement de Nikolas.
La pensée qu'elle en avait fini avec le cancer était prématurée car il est revenu en octobre 2018. Jade avait maintenant un cancer du foie et des poumons. Elle a été opérée en février 2019 et ils ont dû enlever une partie de son foie et de son poumon droit. Jade a continué à avoir un accès réduit à son fils en raison de sa maladie et de son temps de convalescence. Après l'opération, le médecin a assuré à Jade que le cancer avait disparu, qu'elle guérirait et qu’elle pourrait reprendre une vie normale.
Jade a commencé à se sentir mieux et a décroché un emploi dans une nouvelle usine de cannabis où elle se comportait bien. La perspective d’une promotion de l'emploi était à l’horizon, et comme Jade se sentait mieux, elle a pris des mesures pour augmenter son accès parental avec son fils. Les bons moments ont ensuite été brusquement coupés. Jade a commencé à avoir des douleurs intolérables et s’est rendue à l'hôpital. Le cancer est revenu en novembre 2019 et il est extrêmement agressif. Elle a maintenant un cancer des os et son cancer de l’utérus, qui était censé avoir disparu, s’est maintenant propagé dans tout son corps. On lui a dit que son cancer des os est incurable. Elle a été accélérée pour commencer les traitements de radiothérapie et de chimiothérapie afin de ralentir la progression du cancer.
À l'heure actuelle, Jade espère avoir l'occasion d'explorer des options qui pourraient prolonger sa vie et lui permettre de passer le plus de temps possible avec son fils Nikolas et sa famille.
