My name is Justin Smith and I am raising money for my friend Ryan Bell, his wife, and three children.  

On October 15th, Ryan went to the ER with what he thought was an inner ear problem.  After some tests were performed, he was sent home.  Soon after, Ryan became unresponsive and was rushed back to the hospital where they discovered he had a blood clot in his cerebellum that was over an inch in length.  Ryan suffered a massive stroke and aneurism. He was life flighted to the University of Utah Medical Center where doctors performed emergency brain surgery. He was given a 10% chance of survival. Miraculously, he survived the surgery.

After the first surgey, Ryan began having complications. It was  obvious to the neurologist that he was having severe brain swelling. He had a second emergency surgery where part of his skull was removed to allow for brain swelling and a draining tube was placed.  

He remains uncounsious. 

 The money raised will be used for medical treatment as well as to help support Ryan's wife and children during this time of crisis.
